About

Mangun Kaur Randhawa's journey in medicine began in India, where she completed her medical school. Currently, she is a postdoctoral research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Boston, focusing on her research and contributions in cardiovascular imaging.

From an early age, Mangun has had an inclination towards art, often finding solace in painting abstracts and sceneries. During her time in medical school, she had the chance to combine her medical knowledge with her artistic skills by creating medical illustrations for an atlas of radiology images.

Now at MGH, Mangun frequently lends her artistic touch to projects and publications that benefit from visual representation. She is also deeply committed to promoting diversity in medical illustrations, ensuring they include people of color and reflect the diverse patient population. She primarily uses Procreate on the iPad, along with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, to bring her ideas to life.
